Nicki Minaj caught a match under Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez, blaming her for a series of horrifying swatting attacks aimed at the rapper's Los Angeles home over the past year. The rap queen pulled no punches in connecting her recent trauma to an explosive legal fight between Perez and her daughter, Demoree Hadley, a case already making headlines. As Nicki says, it's getting way too neat not to connect the dots.
"Isn't it interesting how Demoree claims they were trying so hard to persuade people to think she's 'crazy' & even got PAID doctors & fake Nike reps to come assess her MENTAL state w/o her consent???" Nicki added to X, causing a stir greater than that at any red carpet.

Swatting, for those unfamiliar with the term, is a practice whereby someone makes a false report to authorities to provoke a strong law enforcement response at an innocent party's residence. And in Nicki's case, it has been an appalling pattern on repeat from phony shootings and child abuse reports to a fake house fire, and one day in June 2023, her house was raided twice by the police.
Nicki subsequently identified a woman named Stephanie Bell as one of the perpetrators of the calls. Bell was charged with a crime, but now Minaj thinks this only scratched the surface. To her, the true puppet master orchestrating the madness could be an entity with much greater power.
"3 Times my house was swatted claiming the 'Man' in the house had a gun!!" Nicki said in a callback to Hadley's allegations against Perez. Now suing her mother, Hadley claims that Perez tried to have her wrongfully committed to psychiatric care based on fake evidence and industry connections, a strategy Nicki says feels all too familiar.
"Desiree I am not ur fucking daughter u stupid f------ obsessed hoe!!," Minaj snapped in one of her most bitter posts. "You praying & wishing ALL the truth didn't come out huh? It's OVER FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The accusations didn't stop there. Nicki revived her feud with Roc Nation itself, saying the company owes her hundreds of millions in Tidal equity and has been out to silence or discredit her for years. And yes, Megan Thee Stallion's name was also thrown into the mix, with Nicki shooting at the Houston rapper's legal situation while reminding folks of the strings attached to her courting of Megan with Roc Nation.
The rant closed with a threat, not to be taken lightly: "Y'all gon give me back EVERY FKNG thing you Stole. WITH INTEREST." Whether the allegations stick and multiply with new layers of drama or not, Nicki Minaj is no longer playing defense, but she's going on the attack.
