JJdaBeat pours soul & rhythm into "Flat White"

Jan Christopher (Juhl) is a prolific artist from Denmark who has been rolling with the drumsticks since he was three, and it shows. No beat on "Flat White" sounds like anything less than a lifetime spent behind the kit. But here JJ gets out from behind the drum kit and into the middle of the stage, crafting a tune as smooth and welcoming as a delicious whiskey beverage.

But on the surface, "Flat White" is just a very smooth, easy-going song about coffee. Yet, listen closer and you'll hear an additional cheer for women, the feminine, and beauty in all its refinement. Read as JJ serenades the track with soulful emotion that binds us to a combination of innocent lyrics, striking rhythm, and melody that will keep you swaying. The resulting song is as cosy as it sounds, and think of your local coffee shop after a perfect rain.

The album will also be JJ's first solo project, as he introduces himself on the R&B, pop, and reggae portions of his double album, followed by the rock side. The mix mirrors the artist: lyrical, rugged, and relentless. Or, as JJ says: "After you've been through hell on earth, it takes a lot to shake your tree."

And that unwavering spirit shines through on "Flat White," providing it with a blend of mettle and depth. He is not here to catch trends, but to move the people with him. And with the new track "Flat White," he's poured something that slides down your ears like the last delicious gulp of coffee: silky, moreish, and leaving you wanting.
