Judge Says Diddy Stays Behind Bars Until 2025 Sentencing

This has now been made official by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian, who delivered a blistering ruling from the bench at a Manhattan federal courtroom denying the music mogul's request for bail and keeping Diddy behind bars at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center until his sentencing hearing in October 2025.

The ruling will close what Diddy's lawyers had hoped would be a course to provisional liberty. They offered a $50 million bail, which was backed by his Miami mansion and cosigned by family members who had reportedly even given up their passports. The offer also included restrictions on travel limited to Florida, New York, and New Jersey, limitations on court appointments, and cooperation with mental health and substance abuse treatment.

In her order, Judge Subramanian said Combs did not meet his "clear and convincing" burden to suggest he would not pose a danger to public safety or be a flight risk. The court ruled, "Mere increasing the quantum of bond or adding any new condition will not alter the calculus." In other words, not even home detention, ankle bracelets, or millions of dollars were sufficient to ensure the judges' safety.

The DA painted a very vivid picture: Diddy, a dude with an exorbitant fortune and connections all over the world, who everyone knows has previously kicked a bottle of Cîroc into one of his artists' faces, could have witnesses killed or be whisked away like fuckin Keyser Söze. It said yes, and it stressed that no amount of monitoring or financial guarantee could mitigate those risks.

Diddy's lawyers had argued that the conditions were untenable at MDC Brooklyn, citing staffing shortages, violent conditions, and even meals infested with maggots; however, none of these issues resonated with the judge. Subramanian said Combs has been kept safe to this point, despite a recent incident in which inmates were involved in a fight."

"Combs recognizes that MDC staff has managed to protect him and keep him well taken care of," the judge said, rejecting the notion made in opposition to requests for similarly situated defendants due to their advanced age or serious medical problems.

There has been no determination yet on whether the underlying charges for alleged prostitution-related offenses have any merit. The court made it clear that this will be addressed at sentencing on October 3, 2025.

In the meantime, the Bad Boy founder will sit in jail without bail. Even with his money, power, and grave-digging team of lawyers, Diddy is going to jail, and that's where he belongs!
