HZPROD transforms conflict into compelling hip-hop artistry on the new EP, "WarTorn"

Producer HZPROD’s hip-hop EP "War Torn" was developed with an original humanitarian creative purpose. As a movie-like EP, it adopts a producer-led narrative logic, breaks the traditional artist-centric creation model, and assembles multiple creators to produce work centered on four core themes: conflict, resilience, identity, and hope.

The opening track "Save The Children (Intro)" sets a heavy, solemn tone and anchors the work’s core humanitarian theme, "A.F.R.I.C.A" addresses global issues from a reflective perspective, and "War Within," created in collaboration with Zombie Juice and ShoeGang, uses layered production to weave together the conflicting tensions between individual circumstances and global contexts.

"Peace?," a collaboration with KXNG Crooked and The Game, questions the possibility of peace within a fractured environment. "Dreamer" uses optimistic resilience as an emotional buffer. "Slave Music," created alongside Charles Hamilton, delves deeply into identity issues. The closing track, "Ascension (Outro)" leaves an uplifting lingering tone, anchoring the EP’s full overarching narrative across its entire runtime.

"War Torn," which has a total runtime of 19 minutes and 10 seconds and was produced by HZPROD, carries dual attributes as both an artistic manifesto and a humanitarian initiative. It builds a cohesive auditory experience by combining cinematic production with socially conscious narrative and collaborates with a diverse range of global participating stakeholders to channel all proceeds from the project into relief work for children affected by war and conflict, breaking the boundaries of music to deliver cross-regional influence.
