Cryptic Post Sparks Speculation Ex Daphne Joy Is Diddy’s ‘Jane Doe

50 Cent flooded the ‘gram Thursday (June 5) with a lone post, with fans and the internet smacking their detective caps in full force. His caption on the post (which included a photo of him and his son by ex-Daphne Joy) made it clear: “WTF!”

There are no hashtags, explanations, or shock value, and the timing could not have been spot-on. The post followed shortly after a nameless woman, identified in court as “Jane Doe,” testified Thursday in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal criminal trial. The woman, the third alleged victim to take the stand, made chilling allegations of Combs using “scapegoat” tactics group sex and drug-fueled parties and victimization. Among the revelations, She said she once dated someone with a fraught history with Diddy.

The longtime beef between 50 and Diddy is a documented fact. But the implication that the woman on the witness stand could be his ex-lover, commonly referred to in court as Daphne Joy, 50’s ex and the mother of his child, drove fans crazy. And 50’s post? Let’s say it didn’t serve to calm the storm.

Joy’s name was already in the conversation a little earlier this year regarding a lawsuit producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones filed against Diddy, in which he accused her of being involved in sex work. This then sparked 50 to publicly mock her, which led to Joy accusing him of rape and physical abuse. He denied it, sued her for defamation, then dropped the case after she erased the post.

If Joy were Jane Doe, the story would become ever more complicated. Jane testified that Diddy wined and dined her with gifts and cash, flew her to the Caribbean islands, and lured her into a relationship fueled by power, drugs, and mind control. She claimed that her first “freak-off” night with Diddy and alleged pay-off to a male escort to have sex with her while he watched was such a turning point that it led to years of abuse. She also said her reliance on him physically, emotionally, and financially kept her in the cycle.

For 50 Cent, who had taken to Instagram only days before calling Joy “pee pee mouth,” this newest chapter appears personal and strategic. His post is not a “WTF” post that confirms anything, but that’s OK. It is a most unsubtle way of telling the world that he’s watching, that he is, and that maybe he knows more than he’s letting on.

Whether Daphne Joy is “Jane Doe” or not is still unknown. But When it comes to 50 Cent and Diddy, the drama is never-ending and Instagram is the arena.
