Fat Joe's Ex-Hypeman Terrance Dixon Says He Got Played

Fat Joe is being blasted by a former crew member with the explosive allegations that not only was he shortchanged, but he was taking one on the chin while rocking stages all over the country.

Ta, whose real name is Terrance Dixon, is a long-time fan of hip-hop music who made a name for himself performing alongside live Terror Squad shows with songs of hype men and steps. But now, Dixon is making noise in another manner: by filing a motion in federal court alleging that Fat Joe stiffed him of tour pay and used his per diem to quietly whittle down a multi-million-dollar back tax tab with the IRS.

TA wasn't just promised a few hundred bucks and a handshake for his hype work, according to the motion. He says he was paid between $3,000 and $5,000 for each performance, along with daily per diem payments to cover expenses related to his travel. More mind-blowing still, Dixon claims he learned that the actual number was closer to $30,000 per show, a figure he says never made it into his pocket.

Instead, Dixon claims, he'd be paid as little as $250 to $1,000 a pop for appearances, a far cry from the $3,500 to $5,000 he should have been making, he says; Fat Joe would pocket the balance to settle his own old outstanding tax bill which helped put him in federal prison in 2013, when he was incarcerated for not reporting more than $700,000 worth of income.

But the critique doesn't end with the rapper himself. Now, Dixon is pulling Roc Nation into the legal drama, alleging that the entertainment mega-company was complicit in covering up the alleged wage theft. The motion asserts that Roc Nation oversaw the tour finances, manipulated payments, and even assisted in misclassifying Dixon's employment status to conceal the actual financial transactions. There are also tales of burner phones, NDAs, and shady accounting tactics used to keep things quiet.

Dixon's allegations are part of a larger TVPRA and RICO Act suit that not only lists Fat Joe and Roc Nation as defendants but also describes other associates, including individuals such as Pistol Pete and Rich Player, as well as several affiliated LLCs.

And just when you think it couldn't get stranger, Dixon's court filings mention forced sex with thousands of women under surveillance, accusations of an underage obsession, and even a machination against 50 Cent during their at-one-time infamous beef.

Fat Joe appears to take the accusations very seriously. He has denied every single bit of it and reportedly is gearing up for a real legal fight. Whether this evolves into a full-blown spectacle or quietly recedes behind the scenes is a matter of debate. TA is no longer just hyping the mic, but he's now holding it like a witness on a stand.
