Chart-topper Post Malone has split from girlfriend Christy Lee, just as the Texas-raised singer is in a coast-to-coast legal fight over custody of his young daughter. The split reportedly took place about a month ago, but the public is only now learning about the breakup. The 29-year-old Grammy winner, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, had been dating Lee, a stylist, since January. The two became an item shortly after Malone broke off his engagement to Hee Sung “Jamie” Park in November.
Post and Lee’s whirlwind romance first made headlines when the pair were photographed having dinner in Rome in the new year. By March 2025, the two appeared to be comfortable under the spotlight, while fans caught the couple on video enjoying public outings together on TikTok. But regardless of the buzz, it looks like the flame fizzled just as fast as it sparked.

He is now embroiled in a complicated custody battle with Park over their three-year-old daughter, identified in court papers only as “DDP.” Malone first confirmed he was a dad in June 2022, but has been committed to keeping his daughter and her personal life private.
The custody battle has already taken on a bi-coastal flavor, with Malone filing in Utah and Park filing in Los Angeles. Designating Utah as the place of jurisdiction may have been a strategic move, as child support payment requirements are often less stringent in Utah than they are in California. But Malone’s team, which celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser is heading, says the decision was based on nothing more than the child’s actual connections to Utah IRL.
The little girl has deep roots in the state, including a nanny, a pediatrician, and a “huge tie” to the state, with extracurricular activities such as swim lessons and music classes already in place, Wasser said. It’s a tug-of-war that appears likely to drag on, with no apparent resolution in sight.
All of this as Post preps for his BIG ASS World Tour that’ll see him traipsing through the UK and Europe later this year. It can’t be easy juggling legal battles with planning an international tour, but Post Malone has built a career out of straddling the line between chaos and creativity.
Although the collapse of his relationship with Christy Lee adds an extra personal dimension to what is already a difficult chapter, it would seem that the ‘Circles’ singer is keeping his eye on what matters: his daughter, his music, and his audience.
